Photo Scanning
We scan your memories to digital format and archive them on a CD or DVD. Use the disk to easily print multiple copies of your favorite pictures and/or to share your memories with friends and family through e-mail, the internet, or view them on a digital frame, TV or computer.
How we scan
We use low pressure compressed air or a lint free cloth to remove dust particles before scanning.
All scans are reviewed.
We rotate photos to the proper orientation.
We scan all your photos using photo editing software that filters out minor scratches.
We scan paper photos of any size, up to 8.5" x 11.7" (216 x 297mm).
Scans are saved in JPG format at the high quality setting, unless specified other format.
Once all items are scanned they are then burned to either CD's or DVD's.
As an optional service, we can also transfer your scanned photos into a DVD Slide Show. Combine your photos, slides and small video clips in a DVD Slide Show.

A medium resolution digital photo of 300 dpi is ideal for viewing on digital frame, TV or computer or making a slide show. Also great for re-prints.
A high resolution digital photo of 600 dpi creates an output size of 8" x 12" for a 4" x 6" photo this is great for enlarged re-prints. Keep in mind this will produce a larger file size than a 300 dpi scan.

Tips on preparing your Photos for scanning
Please review your photos before sending.
You may notice dust, dirt and maybe mold that will be magnified. We will use low pressure compressed air to blow off loose particles.
Use care not to scratch, or add dust to your photos.
You may want to think about organizing your photos into groups, you can label each group. For example "Baby Pictures " or "France 1988". We will create individual folders for each group you label.
It is best to box or bundle photos. Place photos in an envelope, wrap the envolope with rubber bands. This will keep the photos from shifting.
Photos will be scanned in the order they are received. Number your photos if you wish. We will try to keep your numering order but it is not guaranteed. File names will be numbered by our system.
